Introducing... Frank Lee Wright

To protect privacy and, more importantly, to ensure all and every opportunity for candor remains intact, Frank Lee Wright is but a clever pseudonym. Readers should attribute my humorist style, vernacular, and elusiveness to the renowned Samuel C. Clemmons and those before him for the thrill of anonymity.

This is rather an unorthodox author bio. For the reasons mentioned above I will not give my readers a conventional run down of my family dynamic or an emblazoned tribute to my alma mater. Instead, I present, to the weekly readers who have lingered long enough on my website to stumble on the profile to page, an insight to an embryonic financial theory I have begun to test through the posts of this newsletter.

The Weekend Stock Pick is structured around a ten-year project to test if over a ten-year period a portfolio constructed with periodic investments in stocks that are undervalued and/or ill-favored will 1.) make money on an absolute basis and 2) out-perform simultaneous investments in a passive index etf (SPY).

Immersed in each post, sprinkled with a few iotas of pop culture references or bad jokes, is and will be a very personal chronicle of financial investments and the events that impact those investments. In my years of experience, I have been subjected to the financial advice of stockbrokers and the financial press. It is far easier for a broker to advise in a risky stock pick when they have nothing at stake should it prove to be unavailing (and yes, I was a Bear Stearns client back in the day). But for those of us with skin in the game, I present to you The Weekend Stock Pick.

Do remember, the newsletter is a Nights and Weekend Enterprise. The author’s day job is running a business in the software industry. Most often I write in the early mornings at my local Starbucks or covertly while I fake interest in the soap my family is currently watching. Should I miss a week, or miss a weekend deadline, this is either the direct result of this “Nights and Weekend” work schedule or a particularly pleasant weekend at the Beach.
